TATTOO AFTERCARE:
INITIAL BANDAGE CARE

Leave the Saniderm bandage in place for 24 hours unless it becomes compromised.

The presence of plasma, blood, or ink under the bandage is normal.
IF THE BANDAGE FAILS (LEAKS, LIFTS, OR PEELS)

Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.
-
Remove the bandage.
-
Wash the tattoo using lukewarm potable water and liquid antibacterial or fragrance-free soap.
-
Pat dry with a clean, disposable paper towel.
-
Apply a new Saniderm bandage if provided, or proceed to standard aftercare.
BANDAGE REMOVAL (24–72 HOURS)
-
Remove under warm running water.
-
Pull slowly and parallel to the skin surface.
-
Wash and dry as noted above.
ONGOING AFTERCARE (DAYS 3–14)
-
Wash the tattoo 1–2 times daily.
-
Apply a thin layer of fragrance-free, water-based lotion.
-
Allow tattoo to remain uncovered.
PROHIBITED DURING HEALING
-
Do not submerge tattoo in water (baths, pools, hot tubs, lakes, rivers, or ocean) for a minimum of 14 days.

Do not pick, scratch, or remove peeling skin.

Do not apply petroleum-based products, antibiotic ointments, or fragranced products.
-
Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds until fully healed.
NORMAL HEALING SIGNS
-
Redness, swelling, itching, and flaking are expected.
-
Surface healing occurs in approximately 14 days.
-
Complete healing may take 4–6 weeks.
SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IF YOU EXPERIENCE
-
Increasing redness extending beyond the tattooed area
-
Pus or yellow/green discharge
-
Fever, chills, or excessive swelling
